Unstaffed Cases & Reassessments: What to Do?
All BCBAs are expected to provide ABA services in the form of BTM or treatment planning. BCBAs are also expected to provide parent training at the minimum amount approved weekly while cases are unstaffed.
During these sessions, you should be probing data/running programs to ensure you have up-to-date data for reauthorization treatment plan writing.
With unstaffed cases due for reassessment, it is crucial to schedule BTM to “cold probe” goals that have not been targeted due to staffing.
Providing Effective and Quality Supervision
Did you know that trainees and supervisees have different definitions according to the BACB?
A trainee is a BT or RBT delivering ABA services to a client. A supervisee is an individual accruing fieldwork.
The requirements of who can provide supervision to trainees and supervisees changed recently. It is important to be aware of this change, especially if you are in the first year of certification.
