Roles and Responsibilities

There is a team of individuals working to provide therapy to a child with autism. Review the below roles and responsibilities to understand who is responsible for what.


BCBAs

  • Your BCBA on your case is the case supervisor.

  • The BCBA will create and manage all programs, goals and targets

  • The BCBA is responsible for parent training and guidance on any questions they have othe therapy or clinical questions.

  • BCBAs run monthly progress reports for analysis and review with parents

  • As the case supervisor, BCBA will communicate with the office regarding any concerns that arise with therapist or parents/families.


ABA Therapists (RBT)

  • Work 1:1 with the child

  • Follow instructions and guidance from BCBA on the case

  • Direct any questions or concerns about programs to your BCBA

  • If any questions or concerns are not answered, reach out to your Case Manager

  • Take data on all sessions - every session needs data

  • Even Sessions where you are being supervised by the BCBA Require Data

  • Enter billing to provider portal daily

  • Should not offer recommendations to parents - the BCBA does parent training

  • Do not offer personal opinions or advice on programmatic issues - the BCBA will do this with the parents

  • Are not responsible for creating behavior protocols - the BCBA creates and supervises all programs, goals and targets

  • If a parent asks you questions about the programs or anything related to our therapy please direct them to the BCBA or to the Case Manager.


Case Managers

  • Your case manager is the person who sends you the welcome email with all your logins to start with us.

  • Reach out to case managers for any questions or concerns about anything at all involving your work with our agency.

  • Case managers are in touch with the parents about questions related to insurance, status of case, billing approvals, number of hours of therapy, etc, please redirect any parents to send any questions such as these to the agency case manager.

  • Notify case managers if you would be out sick or not able to fill your schedule for more than one session.

  • Notify case managers if you need to leave a case and must give 2 weeks' notice.
