Remote Delivery of RBT Exam Discontinued

The BACB Board of Directors discontinued remote exams on 9/1/23 to maintain exam integrity.

The remote RBT exam was introduced three years ago due to COVID-19.

However, theft of exam content has persisted despite efforts to enhance security and legal action having to be taken.

Multiple Certifications Policy Updated

Starting January 1, 2025, individuals will only be able to hold one BACB certification at a time.

Historically, the BACB has allowed multiple certifications due to funders' recognition issues. However, this practice has been discouraged for two main reasons: overlapping requirements and skills.

Considering no regional or funder requirements necessitate the need for multiple requirements, the BACB Board of Directors decided to change the policy.
