Chapter 2: The Behavior Technician’s role

This chapter discusses all details and information about your new role with Applied ABC.

Behavior Technicians:

  • Work 1:1 with the child

  • Follow instructions and guidance from BCBA on the case

  • Direct any questions or concerns about programs to your BCBA

  • If any questions or concerns are not answered, reach out to your Case Manager

  • Take data on all sessions - every session needs data

  • Even Sessions where you are being supervised by the BCBA Require Data

  • Enter billing to provider portal daily

  • Should not offer recommendations to parents - the BCBA does parent training

  • Do not offer personal opinions or advice on programmatic issues - the BCBA will do this with the parents

  • Are not responsible for creating behavior protocols - the BCBA creates and supervises all programs, goals and targets

  • If a parent asks you questions about the programs or anything related to our therapy please direct them to the BCBA or to the Case Manager.
